RCMUN, hosted in Madrid by Runnymede College.
Our delegates were assigned to a wide range of committees: the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), the UN Security Council (UNSC), the UN General Assembly (UNGA), the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), International Space Governance (ISG), AI Governance and the G20 Summit Committee.
The discussions were both wide-ranging and thought-provoking, covering topics from women’s rights and access to education in Afghanistan to the regulation of lunar exploration and resource extraction. Alongside students from Spain, Italy and Morocco, our delegates strengthened their debating skills, broadened their international outlook and formed valuable new friendships.
We are extremely proud of the commitment, preparation and enthusiasm they demonstrated throughout the weekend.
Ten students also received awards in recognition of their outstanding participation:
Most Improved: Philaé K., Corentin K., Jules L. and Guillaume L.
Honourable Mention: Evariste B., Aurélie Z., Darragh D. and Nicolas R.
Best Delegate: Catherine T. and Valentine L.
Congratulations to all our delegates for representing Institut Notre-Dame so brilliantly.
Our sincere thanks go to Runnymede College, as well as Duncan Byrne, Frances Grimes and Brittany Howe, for their warm welcome and for organising such a memorable 2026 conference.
