Our Anglophone Section 6ème students recently took part in their traditional overnight trip to Guédelon, an immersive experience that brings their Medieval History curriculum to life beyond the classroom.
For many students who have just joined 6ème, the trip was also a valuable opportunity to get to know one another, build new friendships and spend time with their teachers in a different environment.
At Guédelon, students discovered the expertise of medieval craftsmen through hands-on workshops in stone carving and heraldry. They also observed artisans at work, using traditional tools, materials and building techniques to construct a medieval castle.
The learning continued into the evening with a memorable programme of medieval entertainment at the Château de Saint-Fargeau. This unique overnight trip combined history, discovery and shared experiences, giving our students a lasting connection to the period they are studying.
