Anglophone Section Parents' Association
ASB is more than just organized English classes ; it provides an Anglophone community for students and parents alike. To promote this community, the section publishes a regular newsletter, The Section Spotlight, as well as organizing, with the help of the Anglophone Section Parents’ Association (ASPA), multiple educational, social and fundraising events to bring the community together. These include holiday celebrations, quiz nights, talent shows, and a friendly, end-of-year barbecue among others. None of this is possible with just the work of the staff ; the ASB Section relies heavily on parent volunteers, as is the case in most Anglophone schools.
The Anglophone Section Parents’ Association promotes mutual support by providing a channel of communication and actively encouraging the participation of parents in the ASB community. It is a way of bringing together parents, teachers and others to raise awareness and funds through a variety of social events and to support ASB in making a difference to our children. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school and provides parents with the opportunity to become actively involved in the ASB community working towards a common goal. The ASPA is open to all parents even if they only have a small amount of time available to volunteer and lend a helping hand.

L’ASB est bien plus qu’un simple curriculum ; elle a aussi pour mission de créer une véritable communauté anglophone au service des élèves et de leurs parents. Afin de promouvoir cette communauté, nous publions régulièrement un journal d’information, nommé The Section Spotlight , organisons avec l’aide précieuse du Anglophone Section Parents’ Association (ASPA), plusieurs évènements éducatif et social tels que la célébration de certaines fêtes nationales spécifiques aux pays anglophones, une soirée quizz, une soirée talents et le très convivial barbecue de fin d’année. Tout ceci ne serait pas possible avec le seul travail des professeurs et responsables ; nous comptons énormément sur le soutien des parents bénévoles, ce qui est le cas dans la plupart des écoles anglophones.
L’ASPA prêche le soutien mutuel et l’échange entre parents en facilitant les moyens de communication et en encourageant la participation active des parents d’élèves aux activités proposées par la section. C’est un excellent moyen de rassembler parents, professeurs et élèves, de promouvoir nos projets et, éventuellement, de collecter des fonds pour que la Section Anglophone puisse offrir à ses élèves un enseignement de qualité et la possibilité de s’épanouir pleinement dans la communauté éducative. Notre objectif est de créer des liens plus fort entre les familles et le milieu scolaire et de travailler ensemble avec élèves et parents d’élèves vers un but commun. L’ASPA est ouvert à tout parent qui souhaiterait y apporter son soutien, même à ceux qui n’ont pas beaucoup de temps à nous consacrer. Toute proposition d’aide et de soutien est la bienvenue !
